Bat & Moth Night at PS21

Join Conrad Vispo and Dylan Cipkowski of the Hawthorne Valley Farmscape Ecology Program to learn about our secretive nocturnal wildlife at Bat & Moth Night at PS21, part of Pathways 2021. Before the sun sets, Conrad and Dylan discuss local bat and moth diversity, ecology, and conservation with a short slide show. Various moth species captured the night before the event are showcased. At sunset, using hand-held bat detectors, participants will listen for the ultrasonic calls of bats flying around the landscape. They will also observe moth tents, illuminated contraptions, and the insects they attract. This event is free and open to all.
