This year there is a twist on PS21’s popular movie screenings. For twelve consecutive years, PS/21: Performance Spaces for the 21st Century has offered free weekly screenings of music and dance-based films. This year’s twist is that all the films will be about the American immigrant experience. Sheri will share and teach the audience songs that tell stories and help people stand up for what’s right: "Factory Girl," "Weave Room Blues," "Ain't Gonna Let Nobody Turn Me Around," "We the People," "Go Ahead." Pianist Lincoln Mayorga adds some ragtime and adventurous compositions to the mix!

A gathering of four local gospel choirs is being hosted by Chatham’s own Payne AME Church Choir and Rory Block at ChurchLIVE in Chatham Center. Gospel choirs from Shiloh Baptist Church, Hudson, St. Mark Chapel AME Church, Kingston, First Israel AME Church, Albany will share music of worship and celebration.
