Hidden Gardens Tour & Market on the Green

The Spencertown Academy Arts Center celebrates artful private landscapes in Columbia County and interesting local vendors of crafts, plants, antiques and related merchandise on the lovely Spencertown Green.

The self-guided tour of private gardens will take you to Ghent, Chatham and Valatie. A new local flower, vegetable and herb farm also joins the tour this year. And in Austerlitz, the gardens at Steepletop, the home of poet Edna St. Vincent Millay, will be open and back on the tour after a long hiatus. This year’s destinations are an eclectic mix of gardens reflecting the personal style of each homeowner. Visitors will find several of the landscapes feature spectacular views
