Tim Feldmann 6-day yoga retreat

This is the inaugural Tim Feldmann Ashtanga Yoga Retreat in the Hudson Valley, NY. Taking place in May 2026 we’ll offer a 6-Day Retreat: featuring asana workshops, pranayama practices and sutra study. Among sheep fields, farmer’s markets and rolling hills, we’ll find ourselves in a place of study, contemplation and practice. Whether you are new to the practice of Ashtanga or a seasoned practitioner, you are most welcome to join us in this special event.

From Saturday, May 23, 2026 until Thursday, May 28th, Tim will guide us through mysore practices, where students self-practice their Ashtanga sequence. On Sunday and Tuesday, we’ll have workshops focusing on asana and alignment, the backbone of a rooted practice. The last day will include a led practice as well as a conference, a chance to inquire more deeply into the nuances of a life-long yoga practice. Pranayama practices will be taught prior to the asana practice and we invite everyone to join us on a social gathering Monday, as we wander along dirt roads and contemplate how to embody the practice off the yoga mat.

Yoga Workshops; Sun Salutations

Sun Salutations, or Surya Namaskar, serve as the foundation for the Ashtanga Vinyasa system. This 9-point and 17-point sequence constitutes a series of poses that, taken together, start the Primary series of Ashtanga Yoga. This workshop is an essential primer to beginner yoga students, and it serves as the foundation for becoming a teacher. Learning to identify and isolate each aspect of this sequencing is an essential first step. We’ll review:
